Samco and TOWA Successfully Host「Kyoto Day」Technical Seminar in New Delhi

Samco Inc. and TOWA Corporation, both headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, successfully co-hosted Kyoto Day: Japan’s Semiconductor Technology for India’s Manufacturing Future in New Delhi, India, on September 1, 2025. The event was held on the eve of SEMICON India 2025, an international semiconductor manufacturing exhibition supported by the Government of India.
The seminar, held at the ibis Aerocity Hotel, welcomed more than 50 participants, including engineers, researchers, and executives from semiconductor-related companies. Opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Osamu Tsuji, Chairman and CEO of Samco Inc, and Mr. Hirokazu Okada, Chairman and CEO of TOWA Corporation. The program featured a keynote lecture by Professor Vamsi Krishna Komarala of IIT Delhi, followed by technical presentations from Mr. Yuichi Kajikawa of TOWA and Dr. Hemanth Ramachandraiah, Head of Samco’s India operations. The evening concluded with a networking dinner, providing opportunities for lively discussion and exchange of ideas.
The seminar showcased Samco’s advanced plasma process solutions and TOWA’s expertise in back-end semiconductor process technology. Attendees actively engaged with the presentations, asking questions and discussing how Japanese innovations can contribute to addressing challenges in India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor sector.
A participant from an Indian semiconductor research facility remarked, “We were able to learn about Japan’s advanced technologies firsthand and gained insights that are directly applicable to our manufacturing processes. The support from Japanese companies is thorough and reliable.”
